Dr. Rob Potter

PLANT GENETIC R&D ADVISOR

Dr. Rob Potter has a B.Sc. in Genetics from Leeds University and a Ph.D. from Imperial College in London and has conducted research on the genetic stability of potato in plant tissue culture at Rothamsted Experimental Station (UK). Since then, he has worked for almost 30 years in plant biotechnology in Norway, Australia, the US and Canada. Moving from bench research collaborating with plant breeders to technology transfer and regulatory issues, Rob has a broad experience in applying the information gained from molecular studies of plant genetics to delivering better plant varieties for growers. Rob has joined the team to supervise EXKA’s clonal germplasm repository and marker-assisted breeding program.
